I have been lucky and privileged to train with Shane on a yearly basis for the last 4 years.  I can’t say enough about Shane’s knowledge of the PC-12 and his calm instructing ability.   Training with Shane has shown me how extremely valuable it is to train in the airplane you fly on a daily basis.   At the beginning of 2019 I was still employed by the Phoenix Police Department Air

Support Unit.  Our command staff also saw the value of Shane’s training and brought him out to provide recurrent training to our PC-12 pilots.  I have also flown with several owner/operators that have echoed my above statements in regard to Shane’s recurrent training.  More recently I have spoken to some owner/operators that feel that training once a year is not enough and believe training every 6 months would be more appropriate to maintain their skill level.  They suggested alternating between in airplane training with Shane and simulator training.  I believe this training regimen would give you the best of both worlds; training in your own airplane with Shane, and simulator training to cover things you can’t do in the airplane.  Thank you, Shane, for continuing to challenge me every time we fly together!!

As a long-time instructor, it didn’t take long for me to recognize Shane’s exceptional skill for taking complex topics and making them understandable. He was patient and likable, never condescending or belligerent, and never made me feel like he was disappointed in a botched exercise, yet he was able to allow me see my weaknesses and helped me develop the skills I needed to strengthen them. His knowledge of the PC-12 is ridiculous, and he’s happy to share it. Training in the airplane was fantastic. I really can’t recommend Shane enough.

Having trained at all the Part 142 Training Centers in the US, and looking for a new challenge and perspective for our 9th recurrent event in the PC-12, we selected 3-Green Aviation, LLC to meet our needs. We were not disappointed. I found the ground instruction well formatted and thorough, and the flying both fun and challenging. There isn’t a simulator in existence that can fully replicate the experience of sitting in the seat with the real world outside the window. The flight training was conducted safely and professionally while still realistic and challenging. I look forward to training with 3 Green again next year.

Shane is an excellent and patient instructor. He has an enormous amount of knowledge about the PC12 and incorporates real world practical situations into his training. Shane will show you how to put the PC12 through its paces while gaining the systems understanding a pilot needs to know. I would highly recommend Shane for initial or recurrent PC12 training.

Flexible and Efficient: With Shane at 3-Green Aviation, I was able to complete the initial course in 3 days. Ground school provided me with a comprehensive overview of the legacy PC-12 systems, and emergency procedures while in flight training solidified my understanding of the systems/procedures in action. No fuel or time wasted! I highly recommend 3 Green for in-aircraft PC-12 training.
